The end of the bolt must be made conical. This can be done with an electric drill. The bolt is clamped in it, and then with the help of the file the cone on the bolt is brought. And here the self-made lathe is ready for work.

You can try it by turning the woodenworkpiece. To do this, it needs to be given a six- or octagonal shape, nakernit on the one side a hole for the tailstock bolt, and on the other, drill a hole that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the head 9/32. The workpiece is inserted into the cartridge and pressed with the tailstock. Then the engine starts, which rotates the workpiece. Now you can start processing it. For work, do not forget about safety. Processing of the workpiece should be carried out in protective glasses. Do not stop the rotating workpiece by hand!
